1 Curriculum To complete the degree the student must accumulate at least 160 credits - 4 credits in general studies, 1 credit for the skills course and 2 sports courses which grant 0.5 credits each. The study skills course must be taken in the first year. The general studies and sports courses will not be included in the curriculum presented below. 4 Elective Courses Elective courses must be selected to complete 160 credits. Elective courses are divided into three tracks: Programming and operation of production and service systems, information systems, and software engineering. Each student must take courses for at least 7.5 credits from the information systems track and at least 2.1 credits from each of the other two tracks. At least two of the following courses in the information systems track must be selected: Managing Information Systems Projects, Managing Information in Organizations, Requirements Engineering Seminary, and Graphic User Interfaces Seminar. Elective subjects should be selected that total at least 160 credits. Eligibility for exemption is contingent up a grade of 80 or higher in the collection of courses. In addition, the practical engineer will be entitled to an additional 6 credits: for 2 general studies courses (2 X 2.0), 2 sports courses (2 X 0.5) and for study skills (1 X 1.0) and will not be allowed to take additional general and sports courses. 6 The assignment of the practical engineers to English courses will be conducted according to the results of the Amiram test that will be given at the beginning of the school year. The Industrial Engineering and Management Practical Engineers will be exempt from the program courses offered by the Industrial Engineering and Management Department (numbers beginning in the digit 5) that appear on the list of exemptions for Industrial Engineering and Management program. Software Practical Engineers will be exempt from the program courses offered by the Software Engineering Department (numbers beginning in the digit 6) that appear on the list of exemptions for Software Engineering Program. Information Systems Practical Engineers will receive exemptions from program courses based on the authorization of the program director.
